The Storyline of the Chandramukhi 2 Movie Chandramukhi 2 movie starts with the introduction of a family whose matriarch, Ranganayaki (Radhika Sarathkumar), is unhappy because of the mishaps happening in the family. As suggested by the family priest, she pays homage to the family deity in their ancestral temple. But for this, she needs to call the children of her dead daughter, who eloped with a Muslim man. She doesn’t like having them around, but she does that to seek solutions to their family problems. The two kids have a guardian, Pandiyan (Raghava Lawrence).
They find a palace for rent near their ancestral temple. Little do they know that the palace is haunted by a classical dancer, Chandramukhi (Kangana Ranaut), and Vettaiyan Raja (Raghava Lawrence) from centuries ago.
Divya (Vidyullekha Raman), one of Ranganayaki’s daughters, becomes possessed by Chandramukhi, who attempts to harm Ranganayaki and her niece and nephew.
Sengottaiyan, who was a commander in King Vettaiyan’s army, had conquered the Vijayanagara Kingdom by killing the real king because he was smitten by a dancer named Chandramukhi, whom he forcibly took to his palace. At last, he killed Chandramukhi’s lover and Chandramukhi herself. He burned Chandramukhi alive, and thus, she died in captivity. Her spirit then started haunting people.
Later, with the help of Pandiyan, the family successfully frees the spirit of Pandiyan by plotting a pretense.
