The Storyline of the Tumbbad Movie Sarkar is a lord of a village named Tumbbad, who is searching for hidden treasure, which is stolen by Hastar, a mythological character who is said to be the son of the Goddess of Prosperity from which he has stolen abundant wealth. Once that treasure was found by Sarkar’s mother but due to the attack of Hastar’s clown she got cursed to turn into a monster for life.
The duty to make the old woman feed and sleep is done by Vinayak’s mother for years as part of her quest for that single gold coin. However, Sarkar dies of age and Vinayak’s mother decides to leave the town forever and also takes a promise from Vinayak to never come back here.
But after 15 years, Vinayak’s greed brings him back to Tumbbad to hunt down the treasure. While searching for a treasure, he comes across an old lady who is now rotting in the house, and a tree has grown through her but she is still alive due to a curse. Vinayak asks her the location of the treasure and she agrees on the condition that Vinayak will make her free by killing her.
After gaining all the details about the treasure, he sets her on fire and she dies. But did he find the treasure? Doesn’t the curse have an impact on him?
